It's that time! Homestays week has officially arrived on MAFS Australia, and if you thought there was drama during their stays in the apartments, just wait until the couples are on home soil. Arguably no homestay was as intense as Gia and Scott's, which aired tonight (28 April) on E4. However, while it was incredibly awkward to watch Gia tear into Scott's home during the show, Scott has since claimed what Gia said off camera was just as bad

During tonight's episode we saw Gia and Scott head to Scott's waterfront home in the Gold Coast, and called it out for being "too small" and "too messy". She particularly took issue with the size of the walk in wardrobe and thought she wouldn't have been able to live in the property because of it.

Gia was also concerned when she found a light pink neck pillow, and questioned who it belonged to, asking Scott if it was left behind by an ex (FYI, turns out it was Scott's).

Her critique of her home, with the addition of the tense meetup with his friends caused the pair to argue and tension seems at an all time high with the couple.

However, since the episode aired in Australia back in March earlier this year, Scott has since claimed Gia said even more insults about his home that weren't aired.

Speaking exclusively to Nine, he said: "She pointed out a lot more [problems] when the cameras weren't there. When someone tries to degrade you like that it makes you feel pretty s**t to be honest."

While he didn't go into the exact "problems" Gia had about his home, he did reveal the emotional impact it took on him.

"I was a carpenter for 10 years, I built my businesses by myself," he explained. "I've never been given anything, and when you appreciate and value what you buy for yourself and your home and the life I chose to live, I'm happy with it. To have her pick it apart was rough."

During these scenes Scott was speaking in his to camera moments to producers about how it was impacting him, but Gia has since claimed she was unaware of how much it hurt him.

Speaking to WHO, Gia claimed Scott had "never voiced any of these things" to her during the filming of the scenes at home.

Is there any chance they'll be able to work this out?
