Married At First Sight UK is back, with 20 participants entering into the experiment which sees them romantically matched up with a stranger by a team of relationship experts. One of the first couples to be matched up by the experts were Kieran and Kristina, who we were rooting for from day one thanks to their shared sense of humour and very clear chemistry. But are they still together now? Here's what we know.
Who are Kieran and Kristina?
Kieran is a 28-year-old mechanic from Newcastle, who joined the experiment after finding out his long term girlfriend had cheated on him with his best friend. He lives in a static caravan in the woods with his dog Hugo. When looking for his ideal match, E4 said Kieran was after "someone petite and naturally beautiful that is also into music. It’s crucial that they are spontaneous and ambitious."
Kristina is a 31-year-old dog walker from East Essex, who loves being in the outdoors and spending time in nature. E4 said Kristina is an "eccentric animal lover" and "a total live wire", who is trained in animal reiki and loves caring for animals.
What's happened for Kieran and Kristina on MAFS UK so far?
Kieran and Kristina were matched up by the experts, and met for the first time on their wedding day. Kieran decided to try and test the waters with his new bride, to see whether their senses of humour aligned, by wearing a set of fake teeth. Thankfully, the prank worked, and they both found it hilarious, while the arrival of Kieran's dog Hugo as their ring bearer also went down well with Kristina.
The pair seemed to be getting on well on their honeymoon, with Kristina opening up to Kieran about her PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder), and Kieran telling Kristina there was no one else he wanted to be on the luxury trip with.
After their honeymoon, the pair moved in together, and seemed to be one of the most compatible pairs in the experiment. Their relationship is strong, with Kieran and Kristina opening up to each other about their pasts and also consistently writing 'Stay' during the commitment ceremonies. Kieran also supported Kristina through her PMDD during Retreat Week, but the pair did reveal they've been struggling to be intimate due to his coldsore!
It's hard to know what the timelines of MAFS UK are, but usually the show is filmed about a year before it airs.
Are Kieran and Kristina from MAFS UK still together?
Of course, the couples are under strict instruction to keep their romances under wraps until the show is over, so as to not ruin the surprise. But, fans have been speculating about whether Kieran and Kristina are still together, thanks to some of their social media activity.
Kieran has been sharing loads of behind the scenes insights into their journey so far, including their honeymoon, adding the caption, "Best Funnymoon EVER with the best wife EVER🌴 ✈️ 🐷 🐘"
Kristina, meanwhile, shared a picture from their wedding day with the caption, "I couldn’t be more greatful to have this man at the end of the aisle 🧡🫶🏼 thank you for EVERYTHING! Stay tuned to watch our incredible journey, I can’t wait to share it with you all, I hope you loved our wedding as much as we did! 💍🥹💒"
That said, Kristina and Kieran don't follow each other on social media, but Kieran did share a selfie of them FaceTiming their mothers, and fans were trying to figure out whether it was from their time on the show - or recent.
Then, on 7th October 2024, Kieran shared a selfie video of the pair walking through Leicester Square, thanking fans for all their support - which presumably means it's recent. "Thank you for all the support guys, we love you so much!" he said to the camera, while Kristina held onto his arm.
Later, on 15th October 2024, Kieran shared a photo from retreat week of the pair in the bath together, which Kristina commented on with "Sexy activities 😭😂🫶🏼"
