As many know, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry have had a long-standing feud for many years that reportedly stemmed from the overlapping use of backup dancers – so much so, that Tay Tay released a viral song and music video about it (read: 'cos baby now we got 'Bad Blood'!). However, today, nine years after the initial falling out, the pair have reunited with an iconic social media post.
Taking to Instagram earlier today [23 February, 2024], Katy shared a seven-part carousel post where she seems to be in attendance at Taylor's The Eras Tour. "got to see an old friend shine tonight ♥️✨" Katy wrote in the caption of her post that is fronted by a selfie of them both.
While the initial pic had us picking our jaws up off of the floor, it was the subtle hint at their feud that had us lol'ing. Scroll to the fifth slide to see Katy videoing Taylor singing 'Bad Blood' on stage. (And yes, while it's not a surprise set song – IYKYK – it's still just as worthy of a mention!)
As expected, the post has stirred up quite the engagement and in just a few hours has racked up over one million likes (and counting).
