We are obsessed with Married At First Sight Australia. The dating series, which sees single people expertly matched to partners they then meet on their wedding day, is now in its tenth season and it’s been so dramatic. There have been arguments, breakups and now, viewers are confused by and calling out contestant Alyssa Barmonde, over her reaction to the Claire and Adam cheating scandal.
On last night’s (30th March) episode, it was revealed to their fellow contestants that Claire Nomarhas and Adam Seed had kissed, cheating on their respective partners Jesse Burford and Janelle Han.
Things got pretty tense at the dinner party, with the brides and grooms calling out Claire and Adam’s behaviour over the table.
In particular, Alyssa was super angry about the cheating scandal. But fans are confused as she also previously revealed that she had a relationship with a married man before appearing on the show. Viewers have taken to Twitter to call out Alyssa.
“Didn’t Alyssa tell Duncan she’d cheated in the past? I’m so confused the way she’s talking about the Adam/Claire scenario 🤔” wrote one viewer. “The hypocrisy of Alyssa,” shared another.
“How is Alyssa thinking she can hold Claire accountable for anything when she had a full on affair with a married man?” another viewer asked.
“Not to be mean, but Alyssa has a lot of vim about Adam and Claire for someone who admitted to consciously being involved in an extramarital affair,” another fan wrote.
But, in her defence, Alyssa has previously opened up to her MAFS husband, Duncan James, about how bad she felt about being involved in the affair and how she wants to move forward.
So much drama!
