Sad news: Mary-Kate Olsen has reportedly filed for divorce from husband Olivier Sarkozy this week, according to TMZ. After five years of marriage, it's believed the actress and fashion designer has legally asked for separation procedures to begin.
Mary-Kate, one of the Olsen twins who shot to fame in their 2000's movie franchise, is believed to have had to request an emergency divorce as, due to measures put in place because of the global pandemic, New York City isn't accepting standard divorce filings.
Mary-Kate and Olivier were last seen together in November when they were spotted out with Mary-Kate's twin sister Ashley and her artist boyfriend Louis Eisner.
Wishing the pair all the best in their separation. It can't be easy at the best of times, especially not during a global pandemic...
The couple first got together back in 2012 and have been an item ever since, getting married in Manhattan in 2015.
Sources also told TMZ that the couple were always happily married, which makes the split even more of a surprise for friends and fans.
TMZ also reports that Olsen has requested for the prenuptial agreement that they signed when they got married to be enforced.
