We're on the last leg of 2024 and my 'Year in Hair Transformations' bingo card is filling up. The latest celeb taking their coveted spot on the final line is none other than Davina McCall (read: D'ya want another one?) with a major, unexpected and ofc, transformative haircut. As the bingo call goes: 89 – we're nearly there! (Mecca, where's my commission?)
In the run-up to their 2025 series, The Masked Singer – an ITV show in which Davina is a judge on – released a number of promotional images. In the photos, Davina is shown to be sporting a super short, blonde pixie haircut, making her look completely unrecognisable.
Yep, that's the presenter, second along in the pink leopard number... it took me a minute to find her, too.
She's switched out her trademark brunette tresses and replaced them with a Kris Jenner-like 'do – and TBH, we're not at all mad about it. She looks fiyah! [Insert endless flame emojis, here]
However, bursting our bubbles came Davina's boyfriend, hairstylist and founder of MDLondon, Michael Douglas. Just short of 24 hours ago, Michael took to Instagram to share a video of the transformative hair process, revealing that the punky pixie cut is, in fact, a wig.
And that's why they call it 'movie magic', folks.
Everyone's clicking on...
Alas, wig or not, there's no denying that Davina looks hawt with such a hairstyle. So, could we expect a more committed and permanent chop in the future? Only time will tell.
