A new music video going viral features the jaw-dropping home of a widower who created a museum filled with thousands of mementos and photos dedicated to his beloved late wife.
The band Mutemath turned Charles "LaLa" Evans's heartwarming decades-long love story into a short film for their latest song, appropriately titled "Monument." Louise, who he called "Ms. Lou" died in 2011 shortly before their 60th wedding anniversary and since then, he has worked on converting his home into a memorial to her. He calls the museum "LaLa and Louise Land" and it is literally filled with thousands of photos of his late wife. He also has old film and videos of her as well as an umbrella garden, dedicated to her memory. Virtually every wall and space in the home is filled with some kind of memento dedicated to Ms. Lou.
He also appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about the love story which inspired his museum and Mutemath's new video. He told Ellen he created the museum in his home to help keep their love alive (and now I'm sobbing).
In the video, Evans also revealed his late wife's touching last words to him. "The last thing she told me? 'I love you.' Yeah, that was beautiful," he said.
