This wedding had an open weed bar complete with a 'budtender'

One couple found the perfect way to avoid family squabbles on their big day by having an open weed bar at their wedding, KGW reports.

With Oregon being one of the few states to decriminalize the drug, Californian newlyweds Whitney Alexander and John Elledge decided to give their guests a treat to remember. And with not just one, but thirteen different kinds of weed at a 'weed bar', it must have been the most chilled out reception at a wedding ever.

To make sure it was all regulated, they hired a 'budtender' which yes, is a bartender for weed. What a thing to brag about on your LinkedIn.

Even an 81 year old guest was pretty stoked, who hadn't touched the stuff since the 60's. "Though skeptical at first she ended up loving it." said Elledge.

Sadly this did also mean no booze, as the law dictates you can't sell marijuana and alcohol on the same premise.

But hey, after a few sessions at the bar, we doubt anyone cared.
