Ah, men. Some of the stuff that comes out of their mouths is truly unbelievable. 

For example this recently overheard gem: 'It's weird to think flies are called flies. If it all worked like that the people should be called "lands".' 

But it seems that men are actually do have a filter and they are biting their tongues when it comes to asking questions that pop into their heads.

We know this some total genius at  Thought Catalog decided to get 14 men to reveal the questions they're too scared to ask their girlfriends - but desperately want to know the answers to.

Unsurprisingly, most of the questions are sex based. Luke, 24, wants to know how many people his gf has slept with, "but we just started dating, so it might be a little too personal. 

"Plus, what if she's slept with more than I'd like to know? Probably better to just never ask that question."

Patrick wants to know how he measures up to other guys she's slept with. That's a bit of a theme actually, proving guys are just as curious about exes. They just think about it rather than falling down the Facebook-stalking rabbit hole like us.

Some of the answer are ridiculously cute, like 26-year-old Rob's: "How many children she wants to have, if any. If I ask her that she will think I'm trying to put a bun in her oven, and I'm not, but for future references I'd like to know." 

And then of course there are people like Victor, 23, who wants to know "If her boobs are real. Too early in the relationship to venture down that road. I mean technically it's a compliment because they're so perfect."

Go ahead, Victor - ask away. That's definitely good advice.
