July is going to be a great month for unmissable TV, so if you're looking for an excuse to stay inside and chill, we've got seven of the best series for you to add to your must-watch list this month.
Look, it might be the height of summer, but sometime this heatwave is too much for us to even contemplate going outside. So, we've been getting the fans going, whacking up the AC and settling down into the sofa with ice lollies each night.
And thankfully, there's no shortage of great TV shows to keep us occupied, with everyone from the BBC and ITV to Netflix and Apple churning out new things to watch this month. So, what are you waiting for?

It's here! The Legally Blonde prequel we've all been waiting for is dropping on Prime Video this month. Set in 1995, Elle is in a new high school in Seattle, after her dad's job moved from Bel Air, and she must navigate tricky friendships, forbidden romance and questionable fashion choices, as we learn even more about the icon's backstory.

15th July, AppleTV+
Based on Marissa Stapley’s bestselling novel of the same name, Anya Taylor-Joy stars in this thrilling drama about a woman who must pull off a major crime for one final time, in order to escape her dark past.
Ransom Canyon season 2
23rd July, Netflix
Ransom Canyon follows three farming dynasties battling for dominance over land, with the seconds season seeing the future of the town hanging in the balance as they all continue to vie for power.
The Hairdresser Mysteries
Expected in July, BBC
Sally Phillips stars as Lili Petal, a hairdresser/detective in a 1970s village who begins to uncover major mysteries in her small community. Using her own brand of uncannily developed hairdressing intuitive, empathy and understanding, she's the woman for the job!
Ann Droid
17th July, BBC
Set in 2029, Diane Morgan stars in this comedy as Linda, a social humanoid robot created to keep elderly people company and monitor their health. The AnnDroid Z58/100 Basic Eldercare Robot is gifted to a woman named Sue by her son, 18 months after her husband passed away - and is exactly the kind of thing she hates.
The Dark
Expected in July, ITV
A tense cat-and-mouse thriller with DI Monica Kennedy (Laura Donnelly) at the helm, as she hunts a serial killer in the Scottish countryside. A rural community takes centre stage as long-kept secrets are exposed and a dark history comes to light.
Trying season 5
8th July, AppleTV+
For the fifth season of Trying, we rejoin Nikki and Jason played by Esther Smith and Rafe Spall, who are dealing with the consequences of Princess and Tyler’s biological mother Kat (played by Charlotte Riley) turning up at their doorstep, bringing a whirlwind of chaos into their settled family life.
