While we're always in the market for a new crime drama, sometimes the old classics just can't be beaten. Obviously, there's all six series of Line of Duty (and a follow-up on the way!), and the likes of Broadchurch, but nothing quite holds a place in our heart like Happy Valley.

Sadly, there's no talk of whether the Sarah Lancashire show will be getting any more episodes, but you can scratch the itch with Loch Ness, which is currently streaming on Netflix.

The police drama stars Siobhan Finneran, who plays Sergeant Catherine Cawood's sister in Happy Valley, and is available on the platform until the end of the month. Here's everything you need to know about Loch Ness, from the plot line to the cast and when it leaves Netflix.

What is Loch Ness about?

The six-part thriller series follows a small-town detective in the Scottish Highlands, who finds herself investigating a serial killer when a number of gruesome murders start to happen in her quiet village.

The Netflix description reads, "A grisly prank at the lock leads to a dark discovery that takes Detective Annie Redford from working a vandalism case to investigating her first murder."
