Apart from her gravity-defying performances on Strictly Come Dancing and the internet's favourite long-term love story with Joe Sugg (insert collective coo here), Dianne Buswell is, arguably, best known for one other thing: pillar-box-red hair. So much so that you could say it's become as much part of her signature as sequins and spray tans.

But (!!) in a plot twist nobody saw coming, the professional dancer has resigned from her redhead contract and instead signed a deal with a soft, romantic dusty rose hue. It's equal parts bold, chic and totally on-brand.

The masterminds behind the makeover? None other than the experts at Larry King Salons. Dylan Donnelly was the colour genius, while Vicky Demetriou handled the extensions. Meaning, it's safe to say Dianne's famous locks were in very capable hands.

"We've transformed her colour into a smoky mahogany, featuring deeper chocolate roots and soft, rosy highlights," Dylan says. "Rather than using traditional white or golden blonde highlights, we chose Great Lengths' Rose Quartz shade, which catches the light with a subtle pink hue. Set against the rich mahogany base, it creates incredible depth and dimension while feeling modern and understated."

Now, while the colour change is shocking, we must note that this isn't Dianne's first pink rodeo. Long-time fans will remember she's dipped into brighter candy and pastel pink shades before, proving she's never been afraid of a lil colour experiment. Case in point:

That said, there's no denying that it still comes as a surprise to see the star without her signature 'do.

And the timing could not be better. Pink is, once again, becoming the colour of the moment with everything from dusty rose interiors to blush-toned manicures. But this time around, the sugary Barbiecore era has mellowed into something infinitely more wearable. Hurrah, we all say in unison!

Notoriously, pink is a tricky hair colour to maintain, requiring much upkeep, so, the question that we pose: will Dianne's red make a return? We'd never bet against it. But if this rosy refresh is anything to go by, dusty pink might be the prettiest hair colour we'll be seeing everywhere next!
