Casually wondering what Tom Holland took home for Spider-Man: Brand New Day? Truly mind-blowing amounts of money, if the sources who just spilled his salary details are correct.
According to The Wrap, Tom will likely make over $100 million for the film once all the money is tallied. Three “individuals with knowledge of Holland’s deal” said his base salary was at least $20 million—which is a full $10 million more than what he earned on the last Spider-Man movie. In other words: he doubled his salary. But on top of that, Tom’s poised to earn tens of millions in backend bonuses thanks to Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s monumental success at the box office.
And he could make even more than $100 million since—unlike many other actors who get backend—his bonuses aren’t capped. In other words, the more Brand New Day makes, the more Tom makes. And considering the film has already earned $2 billion globally, this number could get very, very big.
Tom has starred in four standalone Spider-Man films, and his salary has changed a lot since his character debuted in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. He reportedly made $250,000 for that film, which was doubled to $500,000 for Spider-Man: Homecoming. Tom then got a massive raise for Spider-Man: Far From Home, earning $4 million. His base salary was more than doubled again for Spider-Man: No Way Home at $10 million, before he eventually took home that aforementioned $20 million in base salary for Brand New Day.
Oh, and on top of his Spider-Man check, Tom just played a significant role in The Odyssey, another huge blockbuster success this summer. His salary for that hasn’t been released, but it seems fair to say he’s doing…well!
