Every once in a while, a song by an unknown artist comes out of nowhere, going viral online, rising up the Billboard charts, and making you sing about being “on a train back to Boston” over and over again in a southern accent. Singer Stella Lefty’s song “Boston” has really made a splash, but it’s not the only track she’s released. While the 23-year-old is yet to put out a full album, she has released a couple of EPs, including Is This Heaven?, which came out in May. In addition to “Boston,” the EP also features a collaboration between Stella Lefty (real name Stella Lefkofsky) and her boyfriend, Vincent Mason.
Stella and Vincent are really on their journey to stardom together, which has already involved accusations of being a nepo baby and an industry plant on Stella’s side. Read on to learn more about these young country singers’ relationship and the connection they formed over their love of music.
They’ve recorded a song together.
Stella and Vincent’s duet “Something to Lose” is about falling in love unexpectedly. “This was never supposed to be/Nothin’ but a little somethin’ to do,” they sing. “I got good at being lonely/Til you showed me I was better with you.” Cute!
Vincent spoke about collaborating with Stella in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “She’s one of the best writers I’ve been around,” he said. “She played the song for me, I knew where she was coming from so I said, ‘Yes, I’ll get on there.’”
He also found success on social media.
Stella’s song “Boston” went viral online, and similarly, Vincent found success on TikTok with his song “Damned If I Do.”
“Posting online was something I was hesitant to do at first. I moved to Nashville to be a songwriter, not to post videos,” the 25-year-old told The Hollywood Reporter. But he grew to enjoy the connection with his fans. “Seeing the numbers go up is cool, but seeing people show up and sing every song back to you is really special.”
His debut album came out last year.
Vincent released his debut album, There I Go, in November 2025. In addition to “Damned If I Do,” it also features the singles “Hell Is a Dance Floor” and “Wish You Well.”
They started dating earlier this year.
In a July 28 interview with The BobbyCast, Stella said that she and Vincent have been together about five or six months.
They met through Instagram.
Also in the BobbyCast interview, Stella said that she and Vincent met when he slid into her DMs. He told her he liked her song “Thinking About You.”
“I don’t think he was looking for love,” Stella said. But they ended up finding romance anyway. Their first date was to a steak restaurant, and now he visits her in Los Angeles and she visits him in Nashville.
“On a plane back to Nashville...” IDK, that’s pretty catchy, too.
