Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley have reportedly separated, news which was confirmed after the rumor mill kicked into overdrive thanks to Jack turning up solo to Taylor Swift’s wedding. And now sources are explaining why Margaret didn’t attend as his +1 (aside from the obvious separation!).
First up, one insider tells the Daily Mail that Jack “didn't look happy during most of the wedding, unless he was with Taylor” and was heard telling someone he and Margaret had “had a tiff.” Then, another insider notes that “Jack didn't want to put up a facade at Taylor's wedding when they're having trouble. It's been weird with her working and him doing his own thing the last several months. They definitely have lost the spark they once had and it doesn't look like they'll fix it. Which is crazy, because they were bonkers for each other at one point and people thought they had something unique.”
This person also had some more insight into the separation, confirming previous reports that their busy schedules had something to do with it: “Margaret feels he has a tendency to prioritize his music career over their relationship. The disconnect between them has created significant tension, and despite the growing strain, Jack hasn't shown much interest in repairing what's been broken. The two are no longer on the same page.”
A source previously told People that “They argue a lot and between her career and him constantly being on the road or working late in the studio, it’s been difficult.”
Keep in mind, neither Margaret nor Jack has confirmed their split, and he is still wearing his wedding ring, so!
