Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff have separated after almost three years of marriage, news that was confirmed after fans started speculating when Margaret didn’t show up to Taylor Swift’s wedding (and then deleted many of her own wedding pics from Instagram…).
Sources initially said that the couple’s marriage has been “rocky,” but now new information has come to light, with an insider telling People that the pair’s busy schedules have put strain on their relationship (Jack’s currently on his Bleachers Forever tour, while Margaret is working on her new film, Possession).
“They argue a lot,” a source says, “and between her career and him constantly being on the road or working late in the studio, it’s been difficult.”
Another insider tells Page Six, “Jack could be very particular about how he liked things. He’d often prefer for things to be done the way he thought was best, and Margaret didn’t always feel like her perspective was being heard or given the same weight. Communication was definitely a challenge between him and Margaret.”
The couple started dating around August 2021, when they were spotted kissing during a stroll around Brooklyn. They went Instagram official and started attending events together the next year, before getting engaged in May 2022. The pair then got married in New Jersey in August 2023 and a ton of celebrities were there, including Taylor Swift, then-couple Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz, and Lana Del Rey.
For what it’s worth, sources tell both People AND Page Six that Margaret and Jack are “figuring things out,” so it looks like there’s a chance they might stay together!
