• Manon Bannerman took a temporary hiatus from KATSEYE in Feb. 2026.
  • She has since missed major appearances with the rest of the group, including festival performances at Lollapalooza and Coachella.
  • On a livestream with fans, Lara Raj opened up about “things getting twisted” when it comes to Manon’s hiatus and what the rest of the girls have said.

It’s been three months since Manon Bannerman announced her temporary hiatus from KATSEYE, and a lot has gone down since then. Her bandmate Lara Raj has officially broken her silence on the online chatter and rumored reports that have surfaced about all six members of the girl group since Manon’s initial announcement.

During a Weverse livestream with fans on Monday, May 11, Lara said, “I did want to talk to you guys, though, because, I mean…there’s obviously been so much chatter and so many things getting twisted.”

She continued, “Things all six of us have done or things we haven’t done that apparently gets twisted into something we did do…[there are] so many false narratives and, like, very harmful false narratives.”

As for how she’s been dealing with the rumors surrounding the band—and where Manon stands with them—Lara shared, “When I see that stuff, it’s, like, whatever, because it’s, quite frankly, so dumb. It’s like, who cares? Like, it’s not even worth the time to think about, address, clear up….It’s just not true, so it’s just dumb.”

Eyekons quickly noticed that Lara said “all six of us” instead of “five,” since she, Sophia Laforteza, Daniela Avanzini, Megan Skindiel, and Yoonchae have continued to make public appearances as a quintet.

“Never have I been happier to hear ‘six’ in my life omg,” one fan wrote, while another added, “SAY IT LOUDER FOR THOSE IN THE BACK, ALL FUCKING SIX MEMBERS.”

Lara’s update comes nearly a month after the rest of the band made their Coachella debut, and the girls even shared their well-wishes for Manon during an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe on April 9.

“Manon has been on hiatus, and we love her so much! We know she’s doing well, and she got to talk to the fans about it,” they said, per Entertainment Tonight. “We’re just really excited and rooting for all of us and each other.”

The group recently announced its upcoming WILDWORLD Tour, and it’s unclear whether Manon will join them on the road. Manon, HYBE, and Geffen have yet to address whether she is making a permanent departure from KATSEYE.
