How Princess Eugenie knows all of her celebrity wedding guests
She has a LOT of famous friends.
The second royal wedding of 2018 is here! On Friday, October 12 Princess Eugenie will marry Jack Brooksbank at St George's Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle. We know the wedding is going to be big - with 850 people invited (around 250 more guests than there were at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's big day), but you might not have realised quite how star-studded it was going to be.
Here are some of the familiar faces you may have spotted on the big day, and how the hell the royal bride and her beau know them...
Chelsy Davy
After dating Prince Harry on-and-off for seven years before finally parting ways in 2011, Chelsy Davy remained good friends with Princess Eugenie. The pair's friendship means it was no surprise we saw jewellery brand owner Chelsy arriving at Eugenie's wedding, trying very hard to hold on to her hat.
Robbie Williams and Ayda Field
Who knew Robbie had friends in such high places?! But it seems former Take That singer Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field are very close indeed to Princess Eugenie, as their daughter Theodora Rose is rumoured to be a flower girl for Eugenie on her big day. We're sure Robbie and Ayda will be proud as punch at their daughter's starring role.
Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding is known to be a close pal of the royals, having been spotted at various events with the likes of Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie. So we were fully expecting the singer - who famously performed for Prince William and Kate Middleton at their wedding reception in 2011 - to make the list. And she did!
Cara Delevigne
We've got photographic evidence of Princess Eugenie being pally with model Cara Delevingne at a LOVE magazine's London Fashion Week party back in 2015. According to the Daily Mail, Cara was invited to Eugenie's 25th birthday party at her father's official royal residence later that year and it seems the friendship has stayed strong!
James Blunt
You're Beautiful singer and all-time Twitter hero James Blunt has been close friends with Prince Harry since they served in the British Army together. And we're starting to see a pattern here: friends of Harry's often quickly become friends with the rest of the royal clan. James Blunt and Princess Eugenie are one such example. Who knows? Maybe he'll even sing the first dance song.
George and Amal Clooney
George and Amal stunned at Harry and Meghan's wedding with just how damn great they looked, and you can prep yourself for royal wedding appearance number two from the famous couple. It turns out Jack Brooksbank is a brand ambassador for George Clooney's Casamigos tequila company, so that's a bond (and an instant invitation) right there.
Karlie Kloss
Model Karlie Kloss is famously a very close friend of Princess Beatrice, who is rumoured to be Princess Eugenie's Maid of Honour at the October 12th wedding. Does that mean Beatrice will get to reserve a few spots on the invite list for her own friends? Fashion month is over so Karlie should have some time on her hands...
Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber
Cindy Crawford's husband Rande Gerber is George Clooney's tequila company business partner, so we're expecting to see this famous couple at Windsor Castle too.
Suki Waterhouse
Also in the same social circle as Cara Delevingne and Princess Eugenie is Suki Waterhouse. And if that photo booth picture of her along with Eugenie and Prince Harry (and Margot Robbie, and Sienna Miller - it was one hell of a party) is any reflection of their friendship, there'll be a seat for Suki in St George's Chapel.
Sir Elton John
Sir Elton John is a familiar face at royal weddings. Having worked closely with Princess Diana to raise money and awareness for AIDS charities, he has maintained a bond with the royal family and sang at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding earlier this year. He also attended William and Kate's wedding in 2011, so there's a chance he could be going to Eugenie's, too. However, it remains to be seen whether the singer's royal relationships extend past William and Harry or not.
David and Victoria Beckham
Just like their pal Elton, David and Victoria Beckham have made the cut for both Meghan and Harry and William and Kate's weddings. Can they make it a hat trick? Very likely, considering that Princess Eugenie attended the Beckhams' daughter Harper's 6th birthday party, which was held at actual Buckingham Palace.
Cressida Bonas
It'll be an ex-girlfriend sandwich for Prince Harry if Cressida Bonas turns up to Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's nuptials alongside Chelsy Davy. But the forecast is likely: just look how close the pair have remained despite Cressida and Harry's relationship having ended years ago. Plus, on Eugenie's birthday this year, Cressida posted an Instagram story wishing her a happy birthday and affectionately calling her friend "pooch face".We'd say she'll definitely be there with nicknames like that being thrown around.
