Prince William has made no secret of his plans to shake up the monarchy when he takes over from his father, King Charles. But it seems like the future monarch is currently making moves behind the scenes, as an insider has revealed that William has "already banished" two other royals from ever being promoted.

According to the source who spoke to Radar Online, the Prince of Wales has vetoed any chance of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie becoming senior working royals. Unfortunately for the siblings, this is all to do with their disgraced parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson. While Beatrice and Eugenie have not been accused of any wrongdoing whatsoever, the scandal surrounding their parents has been hard to shake off.

"William's feeling is that the monarchy simply cannot survive mixed messaging when it comes to the York scandal and the damage it has done to public confidence," the insider said, adding that the royal believes Beatrice and Eugenie's presence undermines his efforts to protect the monarchy as a brand.

"He believes there has to be a very visible and consistent separation between the institution and anyone connected to that fallout, even indirectly," the source added. "From his perspective, allowing Beatrice and Eugenie to continue appearing at major royal occasions, mingling with senior royals, and participating in prestigious public events risks blurring the boundaries the family has spent years trying to establish."

Adding to that, the insider suggested that William "worries" the public might perceive Beatrice and Eugenie being welcomed as a "back door" invite for the York family as a whole.

"William has already reached the conclusion that there is simply no realistic future in which Beatrice and Eugenie return as senior working royals under his reign," the source went on defiantly.

So, how do the York sisters themselves feel about this? According to another insider who spoke to Radar Online, Beatrice and Eugenie sense that their "entire position" within the Royal Family is "becoming unstable and uncertain".

"They always accepted there would be lasting repercussions connected to Andrew and the scandals surrounding him and Sarah, but they genuinely did not anticipate William and Kate taking such a determined and uncompromising stance behind closed doors," the source went on.
