It's no secret that Kate Middleton is one of the UK's most celebrated style icons. Her Alexander McQueen wedding dress, of course, solidified her as one of the fashion greats, but even her daily outings provide endless inspiration for chic, put-together, reliable outfit formulas.
Over the years, the Princess of Wales has cemented herself as a lover of trusted products and isn't afraid of the dreaded 'outfit repeater' claims. She also often tries to marry bespoke items she wears on repeat (for example, the McQueen coat she has in various shades) with more affordable pieces from the likes of Zara and M&S.
In fact, one of her favourite high-street brands is Boden, which is exactly where she found her loafers...
Here she was in February, visiting a London school to mark Children's Mental Health Week. Arriving at Castle Hill Academy in New Addington to meet pupils and staff, Kate was very much giving business-chic in a classic blue shirt from WNU, Petar Petrov jacket (currently sold out), straight-leg trousers from Joseph Coleman and a polished belt – all of which were in various brown hues. A pair of Kiki McDonough drop earrings did all the accessorising for her, and on her feet, Kate wore a timeless pair of loafers, which happen to be from one of her favourite British high-street brands we mentioned earlier — Boden
Kate wore the Nya Penny loafers, which are available in five different colours and finishes ranging from brown suede to glossy black leather. They are, as she demonstrates, the ideal shoe for daily wear – practical, comfortable and always stylish.
At just under £120, these shoes are also incredibly affordable when one considers how versatile they are and how much wear you can get out of them. They're also suitable for all seasons – ideal in our inconsistent UK climate. Given that loafers were seen on the catwalks of every designer from Bottega Veneta to Chanel to Dior for Spring/Summer 2026, they're a sure-fire bet when it comes to banking on your new season footwear.
