It’s one of the few occasions we get to see the royal family all together; as well as their usual Christmas Day church service, the family tend to be spotted out on Easter Sunday too.
However, their usual celebrations will look markedly different this year, with both King Charles and Kate Middleton in ill health.
While Charles is thought to still be attending the traditional Easter Sunday church service at Windsor Castle, it’s believed that royal aides will make arrangements for crowds to be much smaller.
The king, 75, was diagnosed with cancer last month after going into hospital to be treated for an enlarged prostate. He has continued on with duties, such as his weekly meeting with prime minister Rishi Sunak, in the meantime.
“It's understood that King Charles may attend a church service on Easter Sunday with a smaller royal turnout if his health allows it,” explains Hello! royal expert, Danielle Stacey.
“Charles has minimised his contact with larger crowds to reduce risks as he continues his cancer treatment. While we've seen the King conduct small audiences at Buckingham Palace, he's not attended any large-scale gatherings since his diagnosis, such as the reception for Korean War Veterans last week, the Commonwealth Day service and the memorial for the late King Constantine in Windsor last month.”

Meanwhile, it is thought that Kate Middleton, Prince William and their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, will not be attending.
The Princess of Wales has not been seen in any official capacity since Christmas Day, and went into hospital in January.
After online furore and numerous conspiracy theories, Kate herself released a video where she said she had been diagnosed with cancer after abdominal surgery.
“My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I'm now in the early stages of that treatment.”
As well as praising William for being “by her side”, Kate added she now wants to be kept out of the public eye.
“We hope you'll understand that as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment,” she said.
