Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's very much-anticipated docu-series arrived on Netflix last week – well, the first three episodes, at least – and it's safe to say there was a lot to unpack. From the Duke of Sussex alleging that the Royal Family 'planted' stories in the press, to the Duchess of Sussex opening up about how her race was made "an issue" in the UK, Volume I of Harry & Meghan gave royal fans a valuable insight into the couple's life.

But that's not all fans got a glimpse of. The first three episodes of the Harry & Meghan series featured a string of interviews with the couple filmed inside a stunning mansion, which many fans presumed to be the couple's £11 million family home in Montecito, California – although this was never suggested or confirmed by the couple.

In fact, it turns out that the mansion used in the Netflix documentary is actually a £27.3 million mansion which is currently up for sale. The mansion in question – which is reportedly just a short drive away from the Sussexes' house – is 888 Lilac Drive, a sprawling property which boasts six bedrooms, six bathrooms and two half bathrooms (whatever that means!?).

According to the listing for the Lilac Drive property, the mansion has a swimming pool, spa, private gym and over two acres of land. Through some internet digging, eagle eyed viewers noticed that the photos of the property – as seen on the real estate listing – line up with the background in some scenes from the documentary.

Although there's no official word on why Harry and Meghan used a different property to film their Netflix series, we can assume this is all to do with keeping their family safe.

Harry & Meghan Volume I is available to stream on Netflix now, with Volume II dropping on 15 December.
