After winning his defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp posted a heartfelt statement on social media, thanking everyone for their support and saying he was keen to getting his life back on track (after it was derailed by the allegations of domestic abuse). The post garnered over 19 million likes and thousands of comments, including many from equally famous faces.
However, since a vault of unseen evidence (that was barred from being put forward in court) was unsealed last week, some notable celebrities appear to have backtracked on their public displays of support and unliked Depp's post.
Some of the evidence that was blocked from being shown in court included requests from Depp's team to include naked photos of Heard, screen grabs of texts from Depp's assistant appearing to suggest that Depp kicked Heard on a private plane and woke up without any recollection of it, therapist notes spanning years and further audio recordings.
These are all of the celebrities who have reportedly unliked Johnny Depp's 'victory' post:
Bella Hadid
According to an article from Buzzfeed News, published back in June when the verdict was announced, supermodel Bella was amongst those who liked Depp's post-trial statement. However, if that's true, that like can no longer be seen today.
Halle Bailey
Singer and actor Halle, best known in the UK for collaborating with her sister Chloe, her role in Grown-ish and for being signed by Beyoncé, is also have reported to have liked Depp's post and then later changed her mind.
Everyone's clicking on...
Sophie Turner
Game of Thrones actor Sophie has reportedly removed her like from the post.
Zoey Deutch
Actor Zoey, who previously worked alongside Depp on the movie The Professor, appears to have withdrawn her public support.
Amanda Knox
Yes, the same Amanda Knox of 'wrongfully convicted of murder' notoriety.
Cosmopolitan UK has checked to see if any of the above celebrities have removed their interaction with Depp's post by following them, then checking back on the post to see if their names appear at the top of the 'who has liked this post list' (which show the accounts of those who've liked the upload) – as the search function for that list does not appear to be working. However, the data that the stars in question liked the post in the first place is based from other news articles, published by reliable mainstream media sources.
A list compiled by Reddit users also suggests that the likes of Elle Fanning, Jennifer Coolidge and Orlando Bloom originally liked the post too, but none of their names are visible against it now.
Over on Twitter, a tweet pointing out that many of Hollywood's big names have removed their public support from the post has amassed over 100,000 likes.
Other celebrities, such as Jennifer Aniston, Paris Hilton, Emma Roberts, Dominic Fike and Naomi Campbell have left their likes and/or supportive comments on Depp's post intact.
Cosmopolitan UK has asked representatives of Heard and Depp for their response.
