Some truly adorable (and hilarious) old video footage of the Queen (who celebrated her birthday yesterday) and a young Prince William has resurfaced and royal fans are absolutely loving it – as are we, in fairness. The clip shows the wedding of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson (RIP to that marriage) back in July 1986, when the Duke of Cambridge was just four years old, and it seems that little Prince Wills was more than caught up in the excitement of the day.

The footage shows William, all dressed up in a cute white suit, darting towards a carriage containing the bride and groom (as they exit Buckingham Palace and head off on their honeymoon) as a group of well wishers wave them off – however, the Queen is clearly a tad worried about the Duke, so she starts sprinting after him too!

In as cool a fashion as ever, Her Majesty very quickly catches the child and then resumes her regal poise and waving, as does the rest of the crowd (who for one moment also looked as though they were starting to get a bit of a jog on).

The clip was recently re-shared by royal fan account @katemiddleton_uk, which has over 350,000 followers – many of whom couldn't wait to hop in the comments and share how much they loved seeing this sweet family moment caught on film.

It's also been doing the rounds on TikTok, too:

Commenting on how much fun the clip is, one social media user wrote "Funny that everybody start to run too 😂" after watching it, while another shared: "Grandma will always be grandma... no matterwhat 👌😁"

Everyone's clicking on...

A third person added, "Being a grandmother and also taking care of [a] future king!"

Earlier this week, Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, posted a loving tribute to Her Majesty in honour of her 96th birthday. Alongside two images (one showing the Cambridges and the Queen at a horticultural event, another of the Queen and Prince Philip with some of their great-grandchildren), the couple wrote that she was an 'inspiration'.

"Wishing Her Majesty The Queen a very happy 96th birthday today! An inspiration to so many across the UK, the Commonwealth and the world, it’s particularly special to be celebrating in this #PlatinumJubilee year."

Anyone else just going to sit and watch that clip on replay now?
