If there's one thing Kate Middleton is known for, it's her kind nature and sweet gestures. And this week she proved that once again, bringing a thoughtful, homemade gift with her on her latest royal outing.

Yesterday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the Ukrainian Cultural Centre in London to meet with volunteers sorting donations for the people of Ukraine – over two million of whom have fled their home following growing conflict and violence from Russia.

Despite Prince William pointing out that he and Kate feel "useless" when it comes to what they can do to help, the Duchess showed her support in the form of some homemade treats, bringing a tray of brownies and granola bars with her from Kensington Palace for the volunteers to enjoy.

Sharing a photo of the thoughtful treats, royal journalist Rebecca English tweeted: "The couple brought homemade chocolate brownies and granola bars from Kensington Palace for the volunteers."

But, Kate is not the only royal who has a talent for baking, with her sister-in-law Meghan Markle also showing off her cake-making skills in the past. Last year, the Duchess of Sussex whipped up a delicious lemon cake, using lemons grown in the garden of her California home no less!

Posting a photo of the tasty cake on social media, the lucky recipients shared their appreciation for Meghan's baking skills. "In honour of #WomensHistoryMonth, WCK worked with Archewell, the non-profit created by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, to provide meals & share a message of appreciation & support in Chicago," the staff at World Central Kitchen wrote on Twitter. "Dessert was a lemon olive oil cake baked by The Duchess—with lemons from her garden!"

Everyone's clicking on...

Even young Prince George has been known to get in on the action in the kitchen. In fact, he spent some quality bonding time with his dad, grandfather and great-grandmother over some Christmas pudding. To mark 'stir-up Sunday', the four generations of royals came together at Buckingham Palace to stir-up their Christmas puddings. In a series of photos shared to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's own Instagram account, the four generations looked as happy as ever to share the very special moment.

Erm, anyone else got a craving for cake all of a sudden?

Head here to see how you can help the people of Ukraine right now.
