As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle touched down in London (and found themselves swept up in a romantic proposal), Prince William and Kate Middleton were rounding off their three-day visit to Ireland. If you were wondering what The Duchess of Cambridge was wearing throughout, then you may be pleased to hear that she chose a particular white coat for one excursion, which will look familiar to the eagle-eyed among us.
Anyway, back to the matter at hand. Although the royal couple have been front and centre in the spotlight for quite some time now (and it was even recently noted that they have a clever trick to prevent photographers from taking good pictures of them), William and Kate have taken to social media to post a lovely, candid snap from their trip to The Emerald Isle. Adorable!
Fans of the royals will know that while it's very common for William and Kate to attend events and be photographed together, it's rare that the couple will make obvious displays of affection whilst out in public, such as holding hands. However, this definitely doesn't mean that they don't still have heaps of fun – as clearly demonstrated during this hilarious moment at the BAFTA Awards.
The new image of The Duke and Duchess was uploaded to their official Instagram account, @KensingtonRoyal, and shows them cosied up together and laughing while at local beauty spot, Howth Cliff Walk.
The accompanying caption reads:

This comes not long after Kate gave a rare, personal interview on Giovanna Fletcher's podcast, Happy Mum, Happy Baby, in which she discussed pregnancy, motherhood and the importance of family time in the great outdoors. Perhaps we could be entering into a new era in which the royals will start sharing more of their private lives with the public?

During their Irish trip, William and Kate also both got stuck in to plenty of activities, including having a go at hurling with some of the locals. Which as you can see from this brilliant snap here, looks like a right good laugh.
