What to wear to a sex party — and where to shop our fave picks
We’re in our lace and latex era 🖤

There’s a lot to think about when planning to go to a sex party — which sex party event is right for you, what you’d like to do while you're there (if anything), and who to go with.
But, you’ll also need to pick something to wear. Most sex parties — or ‘play parties’ to those in the know — have a strict dress code. But don’t worry, most parties provide a cloakroom and space to disrobe from your outdoor clothes.
“The most important thing to consider is that you need to feel comfortable and sexy in your own skin,” says Gillian Myhill, sex party veteran and founder of sex-positive app Sizzl. “People will want to see you naked and appreciate you naked more than the outfit you arrive in.”
“Keep in mind that you will very likely be getting dressed and undressed multiple times through the night,” she adds. “Certain outfits can be incredibly sexy (such as latex) but getting oneself in and out of latex in a moment of romance can be tricky to say the least.” So, if it’s your first time, you might want to stick to something a bit easier and more comfortable.
“Finally, if you’re heading to your first sex party, do your research first. All parties are different and may require different dress codes. So it’s important to understand what is expected so you can plan your outfit accordingly. No point turning up in a red bodysuit for an all-white ball,” she says.
If you’re feeling a bit stuck, we’ve rounded up some ideas of what to wear to a range of events — from ultra-femme lingerie to domme chic lewks.
