Fashion is cyclical, and it’s true that wide-leg jeans have gone in and out of style over the years. With the skinny jeans craze that whipped through the 2010s, we saw this iconic cut fall to the back of our collective wardrobes, but the wide-leg silhouette is firmly back on the denim trend agenda in 2026.
I, for one, couldn't be happier about it. A good wide-leg denim moment pulls together a look, so when you're planning out your summer ‘fits, you’re going to want to have a few pairs readily available. This is one of my favourite wide-leg jean outfit formulas because it’s rather minimalist, layering-wise. All you need to do is find a staple top, throw on your jeans and a muted pair of shoes, and you’re suddenly all put together.
Paired with a printed top
For the colourful, maximalist girls, finding a unique pair of wide-leg jeans and pairing them with a printed top is prime if you’re going for a more eclectic fashion look.
