- Beyoncé and daughter Blue Ivy channel The Lion King characters for the 2019 Wearable Art Gala
- Beyoncé will play Nala along side Donald Glover as Simba in the new Disney live action movie
With The Lion King live action release date drawing ever closer, our excitement for the Disney remake is reaching fever pitch - if not, do yourself a favour and watch the trailer here - and it it seems we're not the only ones.
This weekend leading lady Beyoncé attended the LA Wearable Art Gala with seven-year-old, Blue Ivy, but rather than wearing your standard evening dress for the occasion, the mother-daughter duo epically channelled the Disney classic.
Bey posted pics of her and Blue's outfits to Instagram and honestly, the pics are everything. Kween B wore a fierce as heck catsuit (which definitely ain't a co-incidence, if you ask me), complete with embellished jewel details along the sleeves and legs, alongside an OTT motif of a lion's face on her chest. The catsuit was finished with larger than life feathers exploding from the shoulders, resembling a mane, plus a train that went for dayyyyys.

My word, if this doesn't get you excited for the remake, nothing will.
Meanwhile, Blue looked as cute as ever in a bright yellow, puffy sleeved mini dress with statement motifs across the décolletage.
Everyone's clicking on...
Oh, and Bey also shared a clip of Blue singing The Circle of Life so put a fork in me because I'm done.
For those of you now wondering exactly how long we have to wait until the live action release date, the answer is 46 days, with the film set to hit theatres on 19th July 2019.
Safe to say, our bodies are ready.
