There must be love in the air, because this weekend will mark the third royal wedding in one year. Lady Gabriella Windsor and Thomas Kingston will be tying the knot on Saturday at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, the day before the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry’s one year anniversary.

Our favourite royal bride of 2019 has to be Meghan Markle, whose fire fashion choices have been giving us outfit envy ever since she got engaged to the Duke of Sussex.

On her big day, the Meghan wore a structured Givenchy gown deftly cut from duchess satin with an elegant off-the-shoulder neckline. It was custom-made by the brand’s creative director Clare Waight Keller, so no brides will be getting their hands on it any time soon.

We’ve got good news though: Meghan’s wedding reception dress, a flowing halterneck gown by Stella McCartney, is available to buy right now (here). The bad news is, it costs £3,500.

Don’t have that kind of money to spend? We’ve found some amazing lookalikes on the high street.

ASOS’s wedding dress is made from swishy satin cut on the bias to cling to natural curves. We love how the high halter neckline is balanced by the super-low back, which showcases just a hint of side boob – perfect for any sassy bride. FYI, you’ll be needing a stick-on bra (this is the best one to buy).

Want the look but with a little less skin on show? Lipsy’s fishtail number is cut higher at the back for more coverage. It’s a dead ringer for Meghan’s Stella gown but will only set you back £75.

Btw, ASOS also sell it here if you want to bag both at the same time, for a trying on sesh at home.

Obviously we couldn’t talk about Meghan’s big bridal moment without mentioning Kate too. The Duchess of Cambridge made her own fashion history moment when she married Prince William in an Alexander McQueen gown back in 2011.

Channeling real Disney Princess vibes, Kate walked the aisle in a waist-defining, full-skirted gown with a sweetheart neckline. The long-sleeved lace overlay kickstarted a bridal trend instantly.

The flattering piece was created just for the Duchess by Sarah Burton, creative director of Alexander McQueen, so you can't get this exact style anywhere. In fact, the label don’t have an official bridal range at all.

But if you want Kate’s fairytale look for your big day, fret not, we’ve found some high street alternatives that are nearly as good as the real thing:
