Jorts are this season's celeb-approved denim trend – and these are the ones to shop now
Jorts = jean shorts, FYI

Jorts – that's jean shorts, FYI – are a wardrobe essential, in the same category as a trusty trench coat or tank top. But unlike other capsule crucials that largely stay the same in terms of design, denim shorts cover a vast number of different silhouettes, lengths, and washes.
While Daisy Dukes and hot-pants have dominated for a good few years now, the fash pack has a new summer denim obsession – and what we refer to as "jorts" is a *very* specific cut that's loose in the leg and finishes anywhere from the mid-thigh to the knee.
If in doubt, use the measuring technique loved by high school teachers globally – you want the hem of your shorts to hit in line with or longer than your fingertips when you're standing with your arms pressed against your sides. Too short and you won't get detention, but you will be missing the style mark. Which is arguably worse TBH.
By no means a new style, jorts are the latest dad-core item to make a comeback. And while you could go full Sandler-core (yes, as in Adam Sandler) and style yours with a bum bag and chunky trainers, we're looking to the likes of Kendall Jenner, Maya Jama, and the unofficial jorts poster girl, Hailey Bieber for fashion inspo.
Our advice? Lean into the masculine aesthetic and keep it simple with a plain white tee and trainers. Oh, and maybe avoid slipping into peddle pusher territory à la Gigi Hadid. Capri pants are not not a lewk, but it's not the lewk, IYKWIM.
So, without further ado, scroll down for our pick of the best jorts to shop now in a variety of washes, lengths, and styles to suit all budgets.
