You may have heard: Mocha Mousse is the Pantone Colour of the Year and, yep, we have some thoughts. Namely, that we've... kinda had enough of beige neutrals.
However, that's not to say that they didn't *almost* get it right. Go a couple of shades darker and richer and you've got chocolate brown: the VIP hue for this season's winter dressing. Need a refresher?
The hue has been bubbling in the background, cropping up in various celebs' fits before emerging as a serious contender for shade of the szn. We had Kendall Jenner rocking a refined chocolate brown Bottega Veneta look during fashion month, Sydney Sweeney stunning in a chocolate leather trench coat earlier in the year and Vanessa Hudgens levelling up maternity style in a clingy, form-fitting chocolate maxi dress. Even the latest drop from cult coat designer Charlotte Simone (y'know, the brand which makes those seeeeeriously luxe Penny Lane coats?) featured chocolate brown shades.
And now our queen, a perennial feature of our style moodboards, Hailey Bieber has spoken (well, posted). On her Instagram, the Rhode founder and fash-un diva shared a collection of fit pics — and one particularly caught our eye.
Specifically, Hailey can be seen wearing a ~chocolate brown~ skirt suit from the Versace 1996 collection. Immaculately tailored, featuring oversized buttons and a micro mini skirt, the faultlessly chic co-ord was accessorised with Hailey's must-have Rhode phonecase, her beloved statement 'B' pendant, dark sunglasses and a pair of matching brown ballet flats.
