Is it just us, or was yesterday's [Monday 8 April] total solar eclipse majorly underwhelming? Yep, we said it. Call us negative Nancy, but you only had a shot at seeing a partial eclipse if you were located in a specific slim band of the UK, and it turns out clouds mostly obscured the view anyway. Classic British weather.
For those located in North America, however – AKA many of our favourite celebs – they had a prime view of the rare astronomical event. Including Kaia Gerber who accessorised accordingly, toting a pair of solar eclipse glasses with her as she stepped out in New York for an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
While we doubt the cardboard glasses (that resemble old-school 3D glasses) will catch on as a day-to-day trend, the rest of Kaia's 'fit was seriously stylish, as per. Check out her look for yourself:
Oozing cool-girl vibes, Kaia paired a long-sleeved grey slub crop top with a navy pinstripe pencil midi skirt that featured an extra-high slit up the back. Adding heeled mule sandals to her feet, the '90s ensemble looked like it was straight out of Carrie Bradshaw's wardrobe. Specifically Sex and the City season one.
Appearing on the talk show to promote her new Apple TV+ series Palm Royale, the daughter of Cindy Crawford continued to channel Carrie by repping equally retro attire. She changed out of her casual top and skirt outfit into a more formal powder blue strapless boob tube midi dress, styled with the same mules.
Yep, two stylish looks in 24 hours. We wouldn't expect anything less.
