We've said it once and we'll say it again: we're officially obsessed with EmRata's off-duty style. The supermodel, podcaster, author and designer (she's a true multi-hyphenate, that's for sure) has added another string to her bow: street style icon. This summer, she's been papped in a number of candid fits - often when walking her dog Colombo and making the act of taking the German Shepherd-Husky mix for a stroll look like she's stomping the catwalk.
Seriously, these looks are for the ages and have featured a tiiiiny pink and red roses print mini dress and Loewe bag, micro jorts and a Daunt Books tote bag, and Kim Possible-style cargo pants. And when she's not out walking Colombo, she's still looking gorge af - often snapped mooching about the streets of NYC on her phone and rocking looks that are simply too good. This has included a subtle style homage to Princess Diana in bike shorts and an oversized sweatshirt, as well as a Burberry nova check slip dress with lace trim that was accessorised with a pair of cowboy boots.
Now, she's back at it - this time repping a truly ~ controversial ~ noughties trend: the chunky boho belt. A true staple of the festival circuit of 2007 when the likes of Sienna Miller and Kate Moss were rocking studded, wide belts with jean shorts and dresses, Em has given the accessory a 2023 update.
Specifically, she rocked a high-neck, jersey mini dress in black with a leather belt secured at her hips with a gold buckle. Also present in the look was a pair of slouchy knee-high boots and 90s-style, dark sunglasses - an EmRata fave.
A compelling argument for boho belts, no?
