Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge's (AKA Kate Middleton) returned to work in September following the family's summer break, marking her first public appearance since Wimbledon. Kate made the trip to RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire to meet those who supported the UK's evacuation of civilians from Afghanistan. Dubbed 'Operation PITTING', the effort was the largest British humanitarian aid operation in 70 years, evacuating 15,000 people out of Kabul, per Kensington Palace.
For the royal visit, Kate sported a sleek professional autumnal look consisting of a structured beige Reiss blazer which subsequently sold out, but has just been restocked (scroll down to shop the style), a pair of navy wide-leg trousers, a white silk blouse and a small top-handle bag by Tusting.
To finish, the Duchess opted for a subtle, neutral lipstick, matching nails and classic blowout:
During her visit, Kate met with both military personnel and civilians directly involved in the evacuation, along with volunteers who helped support evacuees on their arrival to the UK.
"It was a honour to hear the stories of some of those involved in #OperationPitting — which were inspiring, emotional, harrowing and powerful — from an incredible group of people," reads a post on the Duke and Duchess' official Instagram.
"Flying out in excess of 15,000 people from Kabul was a truly collaborative operation across our Armed Services, local authorities and aid organisations in Afghanistan and the UK. You should all be proud of your work, often around the clock, to support the evacuation of civilians from Afghanistan."
"Thank you to all the incredible people involved in #OperationPitting, the largest humanitarian aid operation for over 70 years, which saw 15,000 people flown out of Kabul in August by the @RoyalAirForce," writes the Palace on Twitter.
Thinking of recreating the Duchess' look for your own back-to-work wardrobe? We've got the exact Reiss blazer here. While it is on the spennier side of high street shopping, we'd consider this more of an investment piece because it will see you through many seasons to come:
If last time was any indication, we predict another sell-out, so ya might wanna get in quick.
