Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) marked the International Day of the Midwife yesterday in a royal blue blazer. And it's from...drumroll please...Zara! Good to know that one of our high street faves is also good enough for royalty.
The occasion was to mark the completion of Nursing Now, a three year worldwide campaign to raise the status and profile of nursing. Kate interviewed Ugandan midwife Harriet Nayiga for the May edition of Nursing Times to highlight the incredible hard work and dedication that goes into the profession, and she chose a very smart look for the appearance.
She wore her hair in a gently curled half-up style, which framed some delicate gold hoop earrings. Kate styled out black trousers and a black top, which she topped with the bright blue blazer. Very smart.
Here's her look:
The double-breasted blazer has some high-shine buttons on it that lend it a dressy look. From the back, we can see that it has slightly padded shoulders (and check out her pretty up-do).
The exact blue Zara blazer is sadly (and predictably) sold out - The Kate effect strikes again. But don't worry, we've found some high street picks to recreate Kate's look if you're feeling inspired...
This chic oversized Ted Baker one comes in year-round navy blue.
Want a more summery shade? River Island pulled through with a cute turquoise pick.
Can't forget about the finishing touches...and this black belt from George is only £6!
M&S' timeless one will stay in your wardrobe for years.
