Princess Diana's sapphire and diamond ring is arguably the most iconic engagement ring of all time.
The 12-carat Ceylon sapphire design, complete with white gold band and 14 solitaire diamonds, has since been passed down to Kate Middleton, after Prince William proposed back in 2010.
According to The Sun however, the design didn't go down too well with other members of the royal family when it was first chosen.
The ring was designed by the crown jeweller - Garrard - who was inspired by a diamond cluster brooch created for Prince Albert in 1840.
Prince Albert gifted the brooch to Queen Victoria as a wedding present, and she wore the design on her big day for her 'something blue'.
The ring was not chosen by Prince Charles, but was instead picked out by Princess Diana, after Charles gave her a selection of Garrard rings to choose from.
Everyone's clicking on...
Despite Diana picking the ring herself, the problem the royal family had, was that it wasn't bespoke. As it was featured in Garrard's catalogue, meaning anyone with a spare £47,000 could have bought the exact same ring.
Clearly that fact did not bother Diana, who was even pictured wearing the ring after her divorce from Prince Charles. We wouldn't give it back either tbh.
The ring is now estimated to be worth £393,850, so I'm sure the fact that it wasn't bespoke is something the royal family couldn't care less about now.
