MAFS UK hasn't pulled any punches this season. Giving us plenty of ups, downs and drama, the show introduced us to a host of eager couples looking to find love through the unique experiment.
Among these duos was 30-year-old cosmetic dentist Nelly and 34-year-old investment banker Steven.
After a wonderful wedding and loved-up honeymoon, cracks began to show: Nelly needed assurances and Steven felt he was giving all he could. Things deteriorated after several arguments, and an outburst where Steven called her a "f***ing idiot!".
However, they did make it through to the commitment ceremony, with Nelly telling the experts she wanted to give Steven another chance, as he had a lot on his plate outside of the experiment that week.
During last night's episode, though (4th November), the Steven and Nelly plot line has brought considerable drama: from rumours of Steven having an affair during partner swap week, to accusations of him being on dating apps. Unsurprisingly, this marked the end of the couples' time on the show, with Nelly removing her wedding ring and declaring their marriage over.
Now, Steven taken to Instagram to comment on how the action has unfolded on TV, referring to Nelly as his "ex-wife", and alleging that he actually "left the experiment after partner swap" - but was encouraged back by Nelly.
"The smile of a man who left the experiment after partner swap and still showed up to give the ‘audience’ what they wanted. ‘Are you not entertained?’," he wrote. "Yeah, that’s right… I refused home stays, because there was nothing romantic there from me. A conversation the ‘ex wife’ knew about as she was sat right next to me when speaking to producers," he continued.
Topping things off, he ended the caption with "Signing out, Mr Villain."
Now, internet sleuths are also speculating that Steven has another girlfriend, and that he's just gone Instagram official with her.
Last night, Steven seemed to have shared a black-and-white picture of himself out for someone for drinks and a meal on his Instagram Story (we say "seemed to" as just his arm, a table, a bottle of Sriracha, and two drinks were visible).
MAFS UK fans on Reddit are now claiming to have uncovered who he was out with: After some sleuthing, they found a woman who posted the same picture (but in colour) with the caption "Date night'.
Could it be that Steven now has a new girlfriend, and has even reposted her date night pic to his Story? Whatever the story is, we're seated for whatever more drama this season of MAFS UK will bring, we're sure it won't disappoint!
