The BBC has confirmed a release date for their Lynley reboot.
The series, which is based on Elizabeth George novels, will air later this year and will see Vikings' Leo Suter star as DI Tommy Lynley.
Ted Lasso star Sofia Barclay will play DS Barbara Havers, while Line of Duty's Daniel Mays will portray DCI Brian Nies.

Lynley release date
Lynley has been confirmed for Autumn 2025.
The BBC confirmed the news this week, sharing first look images of Suter and Barclay in character, alongside the caption: "Based on Elizabeth George’s best-selling novels, the series will launch this autumn on BBC iPlayer and BBC One."
Lynley plot
Lynley is a talented detective who doesn’t fit in because of his upper-class background. He works with Sergeant Havers, a smart and detail-focused officer from a working-class family. Together, they make a strong team despite their differences.
The official synopsis reads: "With seemingly nothing in common and against all odds, the mismatched duo of Lynley and Havers become a formidable team, bonded by their desire to see justice done.
"His brain and her spirit - his knowledge and her instincts. It is only through working side by side do they both find where they truly belong."
The Inspector Lynley Mysteries previously aired on BBC One from 2001 to 2008, with actor Nathaniel Parker in the titular role.
Following news of the reboot, writer Elizabeth George said in a statement: "I'm thrilled to see Thomas Lynley and Barbara Havers come to television again, especially through the participation of the BBC and Britbox and the production expertise of Playground. Watching my characters brought to life on television is a real celebration."
