Love Island is in its third week and honestly we're not sure if it could get any more dramatic after last night's addition of the sleepover, which saw Dejon, Remell, Helena and Emily head to meet four new bombshells in a new Villa. However, of course this is Love Island and it can always get more spicy, which brings us to an important question - when the hell is Casa Amor happening this year?

Casa Amor is an age old Love Island tradition introduced in season three, and sees either the boys or girls move into a new Villa for a week and meet a whole new group of single Islanders. The boys or girls who stay in the old Villa also get a new group to get to know of Islanders. At the end of the week they then decide if they're going to recouple with someone new or stick with their original partner.

It's produced some truly iconic Love Island moments, (never forget Georgia's 'I'm loyal babe' moment) introduced legendary bombshells (hi Ovie) and been make or break for a lot of the couples. So when is Casa Amor returning for Love Island UK 2025?

When is Casa Amor happening on Love Island this year?

As of yet there's been official word from ITV when Casa Amor will return or if it will. However, given it's an iconic part of the series and how open this year's Islanders are it would be a shame to not include it

Usually Casa Amor happens within the fifth week of the series, which means it's taken place on these dates in the last few series:

  • Series 11 - 30th June
  • Series 10 - 30th June
  • Series 9 - 1st July
  • Series 8 - 26th July (Love Island started later that year due to the COVID pandemic)

This season of Love Island kicked off a week later than usual, so if Casa Amor is going to kick off during week five, then we imagine we could expect to see it around the week of 7th July.

Could Casa Amor look different this year?

This year Love Island is celebrating its 10th anniversary and so far there's been a lot of twists and turns already as the show enters a new decade. Could we expect to see Casa look a little different?

Well there's been some theories floating around. Firstly, Love Island icon Harriett Blackmore revealed she thought there was something suspicious about there being a clock for Marbella in the promo shots for this season, telling Cosmopolitan UK: "I think there's probably like a Casa [Amor] in Marbella." Now that would be pretty cool if that were to happen.

The series creative director Mike Spence also revealed to Capital there is going to be 50 bombshells across the season. So far we've had 10 bombshells enter the Villa, and so maybe to account for the 40 extra we could have a super-sized Casa Amor and see more bombshells enter the Villa than usual?

And some fans have been speculating that there could be a crossover with Love Island USA, however, given the USA version is a few weeks ahead and already doing their Casa Amor it seems unlikely that this could happen.

But series 12 is really doing the most, so who knows maybe a country swap could be on the cards?

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
