Miley Cyrus just addressed her split from ex Nick Jonas, and she had the best reaction to a fan dragging the Jonas Brother.
To recap, Miley and Nick dated over 15 years ago between 2006 and 2007, but it looks like fans are still hung up on the split. Miley addressed the breakup a couple of years after it happened, writing in her 2009 Miles To Go autobiography, "Prince Charming and I broke up on December 19, 2007. The hardest day ever."
While it might have been a decade and a half since Miley and Nick went their separate ways, the split has come up again during Miley's recent performance at Lollapalooza Chile - and her response is spot on.
Appearing on stage, Miley stopped to read signs from fans in the crowd between songs - pausing on one which read "Fuck Nick Jonas". After reading the sign out loud, Miley hilariously caught herself to add, "I didn't say it. I didn't say it! Just one of the other signs." Meanwhile, the crowd, obviously, were very obsessed with the whole thing, cheering in response to the exchange.
Still, it seems like Miley saw the funny side of the whole thing, later posting the clip on her Instagram grid, adding the caption, "Y’all said this shit not me…. Chile youuuu are WILD! Thank u!" . Other signs read out by the singer include "Punch in the face, it's my 21st," so yeah, it's all happening. See the clip below.
Miley and Nick first got together in 2006, splitting in December 2007 while the Jonas Brothers were still opening for Miley on her Hannah Montana Best Of Both Worlds tour. Only slightly awkward then.
Continuing to talk candidly about the breakup in Miles To Go, Miley wrote, "My life felt like it had ground to a halt, but the rest of the world kept right on rolling. I was on tour. People were counting on me, but my head — no, my heart — was dizzy."
Since then, Miley has married and divorced Liam Hemsworth, and has most recently been linked to Liily drummer Maxx Morando. Meanwhile, Nick has been married to Priyanka Chopra since 2018 and the pair welcomed their first baby together back in January.
We're sure there are no hard feelings between these two!
