If you've watched HBO's Emmy-winning show Euphoria, chances are you'll have seen Sydney Sweeney's character Cassie fall in and out of love numerous times. She's a hopeless romantic, falls for the wrong people, (apart from McKay, they were so sweet together!) and generally ends up being heartbroken.
But in terms of relationships, Sydney and Cassie couldn't be any further apart, as the actor has been quietly loved up with Jonathan Davino, a 37-year-old restaurant owner for the last 4 years. And in her recent cover feature with Cosmo US, she reveals why she doesn't date people in her industry, and why she keeps the details of her love life to herself.
The 24-year-old said: "I don't date people in the spotlight. I don't date actors or musicians or anyone in entertainment because I can just be normal Syd that way and it's easiest."
She went on to say: "I have a great support system [and] have people who will battle for me and allow me to be on the pedestal and shine without making me feel like, 'Oh no, I'm shining too bright and I need to step back.'"
And alongside being her humble self, which we all know and love her for, Sweeney also revealed what she looks for in a partner while dating. After explaining that she looks "for a best friend", she also went on to say that she needs to "be able to be with someone who [she] can literally hang out with 24/7, and laugh with every single day." Aw!
