Meghan Markle's hair, makeup, gown, tiara, and veil gave fans more than enough to talk about this morning—so it's easy to forget about her royal wedding manicure. Meghan appears to have picked the Queen's favourite nail polish, Essie Ballet Slippers, to wear on her big day. The universally-flattering pale pink, opaque shade is famous for being the go-to mani shade for brides and royalty everywhere.

Meghan stuck to royal protocol for her wedding day manicure. Royals are expected to wear their nails neat, clean, and groomed at all times. If Meghan is not going to wear her nails bare, nude nail polish is allowed, as is one particular shade of pink: Essie Ballet Slippers (so it's no surprise that it's the shade Meghan picked).
It's been previously reported that Meghan favours a salon in the posh London neighborhood of Mayfair called Nails & Brows.
The new Duchess of Sussex's sister-in-law Kate Middleton wore the shade Allure by Essie for her wedding to Prince William back in 2011. When Kate announced her engagement back in November 2010, she wasn't even wearing a stitch of nail polish (but her nails were shaped and groomed).
Meghan did opt to wear nail polish for her ring reveal and engagement announcement—a sheer, nude-pink shade that looks just like Ballet Slippers. No one was able to identify the exact shade, however. In every public appearance since, she's been spotted wearing a sheer but bright white manicure or a classic nude, with her nails filed square.
