After seasons of beachy waves and mermaid-core texture, precision has re-entered the chat. The return of glass hair was spotted earlier this week at London Fashion Week, specifically at the Chet Lo Autumn/Winter 2026 show – and we predict the trend is only going to keep gaining traction. The goal? Hair so shiny it slices through winter air like a freshly sharpened bob.

Backstage, Hair Lead Anna Cofone turned strands into sculptures. "The inspiration for the hair was a reflection of Southeast Asian identity, drawing from the iconic headdresses of Peking Opera," she explains. "In opera, the feathers create these beautiful calligraphic lines that extend the performer's movement." As a result, we were delivered ultra-straight, liquid lengths punctuated by feather accents and tightly constructed chignons.

"The glass-straight hair keeps everything disciplined and refined. It's about control and movement existing together," Anna says. Translation: You can, in fact, have the best of both worlds! Hannah Montana, eat your heart out...

Now, while the runway interpretations lean architectural (partly thanks to their avant-garde fashions), this trend is fully translatable to everyday life. Think sleek ponytails, straightened bobs, or even relaxed lengths. The key? Incorporating hair health into your routine! I'm talking anti-frizz oils, glycolic formulations, and lightweight serums that smooth without weighing hair down.

This trend isn't about frying your ends into submission; it's about nourishment first, polish second!

So remember, behind every glossy strand is a product working twice as hard behind the scenes. As the old adage goes: Lay the groundwork, and the results take care of themselves!
