Anyone who has ever highlighted their hair will be be all too familiar with the feeling of dread that comes with an impending 3 hour plus salon visit.
Let's be real, who wants to spend their Saturday staring at themselves in a mirror, especially when half your foundation has been washed off your forehead.
But those marathon salon sessions are now a thing of the past thanks to L'Oréal Professionnel's latest invention, which is designed to cut your colouring time in half.
'Instant Highlights' is a salon service that lifts hair up to 6 levels lighter by using a specially designed heated iron, which has a lower temperature than a traditional hair straightener. With traditional highlights you have to wait around 45 minutes for the lightening cream to develop, but L'Oréal's new system means that your hair will lighten in 15-30 seconds.
Step one
Your colourist will section your hair into L'Oréal's custom designed foil.
Step two
The Instant Highlight Cream is applied.
Everyone's clicking on...
Step three
The heating iron is run over each foil or 15-30 seconds.
Et voilà
Instant Highlights is designed to be a speedy service, so this isn't your regular 'full head of highlights' treatment. Instead, L'Oréal offer 4 different styles of highlighting, with a maximum of 15 foils, that are designed to refresh your hair for a low-maintenance colour boost.
