When it comes to royal hairstyles, it's safe to say that often our highnesses (the Queen included) stick to what they know. And what they know (and do very well, may I add) is ✨elegance✨. Yes, Ma'am.

For the past two days, Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William have been on a two day whistle-stop tour of Scotland taking care of some very important engagements in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Royal duties call! And of course, when in Rome the highlands (ish), high-class hairdos are a must – something K-Mid is an expert at.

Time and time again, we've seen Kate rock her signature bouncy blow-out, and this time was no exception. However, she has put a slight twist on her classic down 'do.

When visiting the University of Glasgow, the Duchess is wearing her hair down, parted in the middle – is that the Gen Z influence? – and with the front two sections pulled back and tucked neatly behind her ears. The back section (from the crown beyond) of her long tresses has also been brushed backwards to keep her hair away from her face.

Not only that, but from shoulder length up, Kate's hair is styled straight, and from the shoulder down, her locks are curly. It's the perfect style, allowing the top section of the hair to look sleek whilst also repping some bouncy curls.

And as we can see, in every single picture, there is not a hair out of place. Either she has a hairstylist waiting on her every move (that wouldn't surprise me) or she's used a very strong hairspray. Though, I'm guessing it's probably the latter.

If you too want to rock this royal down 'do, we recommend investing in a strong hold spray. Our favourite is the Andrew Fitzsimons HARD Strong Hold Hairspray for Maximum Control, £9.
