While many of us are still swerving the daily commute by working from home, Prince William and Kate Middleton are in the midst of a whistle-stop three-day train tour of the UK.
So many questions: Did they get a carriage all to themselves? Have they enjoyed an egg sarnie from the food cart yet? And more importantly, who is ensuring that Kate's hair looks so immaculate at every stop? (and can we hire them once we start commuting into work again?)
While we're pretty sure they're not having to contend with other travellers' loud music or sweaty armpits, we hope they're managing to rest up between stops, because it takes high-spirits and boundless energy to do what they do best: meeting the general public and making them smile.
Day one of the train tour involved a visit to Berwick-upon-Tweed, visiting the teachers and school children at Holy Trinity, and we couldn't help but enjoy Kate's chunky caramel/toffee highlights (I know, I know, but we're beauty editors!)
Day two has landed them in Cardiff, where Kate and Wills were able to hear how they've been supported during the pandemic through the UK Government’s Culture Recovery Fund. Good stuff, and the picture they posted on Instagram made us want two things really badly:
- Giant marshmallows melted over an open fire
- Kate's incredible Disney Princess-esque hair, which was pulled back into a half ponytail, with the ends sat in perfect ringlets over her shoulders.
Will day three's hair involve some dry shampoo and an up 'do? Watch this space...
