Love Island’s Yasmin responds to rumours she had a boyfriend while in the villa

Love Island's Yasmin Hadlow has responded to rumours she was in a relationship prior to entering the Villa this summer.

Yasmin is currently dating Tommy Stagg, who was called out in the Villa by host Maya Jama for allegedly having a girlfriend on the outside. Tommy set the record straight and said he had been a relationship but the pair broke up a few weeks before he went on Love Island.

When Yasmin found out she was upset about the timeline of Tommy's revelation, however, there were some fans who called her out on her reaction as it had been claimed Yasmin was also seeing someone before she entered the Villa.

And now Yasmin has responded to these claims in an interview with Capital Xtra FM. While speaking to the radio station, Yasmin jokingly referenced Tommy's own past relationship, saying in response to the rumours: "Just both as bad as each other aren't we? A match made in heaven clearly.

"No, I mean look, you break up with people, you see people. I think everyone was seeing people before this [Love Island]. They'd be lying if they didn't. And I think you try sort things out and it doesn't work out, and that's it really."

Yasmin also spoke about her past relationship in more depth during her appearance alongside Tommy on Joe Baggs' Not My Bagg podcast and revealed she and her ex broke up at Christmas, but went onto reunite occasionally following the split.

"We split up in December and that’s when I applied [for Love Island], in January. We’re in the same friendship group so we obviously did cross paths a few times after we broke up but we split up in December," she explained. "We had a drunken kiss… you know what I mean?!”

Since leaving the Villa, Tommy and Yasmin have continued spending time together, and shared a lot of images on social media.
