Love Island's Ellie Chadwick has reportedly quit the Villa just days after her recoupling with Finley Maddock.

The couple had been on the rocks ever since bombshell Elicia Bailey entered the villa and Finely took an interest in her, threatening Ellie and Finley's relationship.

In the last week or so Ellie has threatened to leave multiple times, but during a recent episode she and Finley recoupled and viewers appeared to think they were on the mend.

However, it now appears Ellie has quit Love Island once and for all, just weeks before the final is due to take place.

A source told The Sun, “This is one where the time difference between show action and real life really matters.

“Viewers have seen Ellie threatening to leave across recent episodes, so the news of her now quitting won’t feel like a surprise. But in real time, her and Fin reconnected at the recoupling a few days ago so her decision to now leave is a shock.

“Viewers will see the dramatic action play out in an episode soon.”

Given everything we've seen unfold in the last week, we can imagine Ellie's decision to leave the show will be linked to her relationship with Finley and his interest in getting to know both Elicia and Ellie.

The episodes we watch every night of Love Island shows the drama that's taken place for the Islanders a few days earlier, and so it's likely something else could have happened between the pair that caused Ellie's decision to leave the Villa.

Ellie isn't the only contestant to have left the Villa this season, with original islander George Knight leaving the first week of filming.
