Love Island's Elicia has hit out at Priya over comments she made during the Grafties about her job.
ICYMI, 25-year-old Priya, a business development manager from Surrey, has been at the centre of a classism row after making a dig at dumped bombshell Elicia, a 23-year-old from Rotherham's work as a team organiser at National Rail.
During a recent challenge called the Grafties, where the remaining Islanders were nominated for different categories like 'biggest flirt' and 'most emotional moment', a clip of Elicia on Love Island Aftersun was played.
In the clip, Maya Jama asked her who she thought the biggest game player in the villa was, and she said it was Priya.
Priya then shouted at the big screen and said, "I don’t care what Elicia says. I don’t care. It’s cringy. Go back to the National Rail." She then raged, "Elicia, you work for the National Rail, why are you f**king sitting in Aftersun?"
Kavan then defended Elicia and told Priya, "There’s nothing wrong with working for National Rail, alright?" Before Priya doubled down with, "But just go back there and save your breath."
Someone think of the trains' feelings!
Since then, viewers have criticised Priya for her 'classism', insisting it was demeaning and suggesting that people who work for the railway network wouldn't deserve to be on television.
Now, Elicia has responded to the comments, during an appearance on Love Island: The Debrief with former Love Island stars, Shakira Khan, Toni Laites, and Yasmin Pettet.
"I'm really surprised by the bitter and jealous comments because her reacting the way she did seems quite bitter, about the fact that I called out what everyone else is thinking," Elicia said. "The thing that we clashed with in the villa is any opinion that anybody had that could affect the way that she was viewed or that she didn't necessarily agree with; that was it."
"Like, she shut it straight down. I think that's where, as well, like, the game player card would probably be her."
Toni then shared that as well as people on social media looking out for Elicia, Kav and Aidan were in the villa asking, "First of all, what is wrong with the railway?"
Elicia replied: "That was so nice from Aidan, like I actually will give him that. That's really lovely of him because not once did I feel like, when I was in there, he had my back, as such. There were times where I was upset about certain reactions and things that were said, and it was really nice to see that he had my back last night."
So far, National Rail have not commented on Priya's comments.
